The One Move
for when it’s coming apart
- Stop generating. Notice the grip — the trying-to-be-the-vine. Name it: this isn’t mine to manufacture.
- Return to the center. Not a method. A turn. I’m here. You’re here. I’m staying.
- Believe both halves:
— the promise: abide, and there is fruit.
— the warning: apart from Him, I can do nothing. - Don’t count. Let the fruit be His to measure. Do the next thing.
You are the branch. The branch doesn’t strain. It stays.
— John 15:5
Keep this one where you’ll find it — it’s for the bad moment, not the calm one.
